bobby berk's summer sangria

Probably no surprises here - I adore Queer Eye's Bobby Berk, and I read every newsletter of his that comes through my inbox. So when I saw his summer sangria recipe, I bookmarked it and made it the first chance I got! The recipe listed below as a couple of modifications from me (just because I love oranges, OK. And also I forgot that The Wine Shop doesn't sell tequila (duh) so I just didn't end up adding any. Oops).

ingredients

  • 1 bottle light rosé

  • 2 peaches, diced

  • ½ cup raspberries

  • 1 orange

  • club soda

steps

  1. Pour rosé into a pitcher.

  2. Add diced peaches, raspberries, orange. Give it a few quick stirs.

  3. Let the mixture sit in the fridge for 2-24 hours. The longer it sits, the more flavour it will absorb from the peaches and berries. Too long and the fruit starts to get a little too soggy and soft though. That’s why I usually aim for the 6-8 hour range, but not longer than 24.

  4. Pour into a glass and spoon some of the fruit and berries into the glass.

  5. Add a splash of club soda.
