iced strawberry matcha latte
After getting my first ever iced matcha latte from Balzac's, I was immediately hooked - AND can't believe I only got on this matcha train in 2020, but hey, better late than never, right?
5 years later and boy have we upgraded our matcha game. Along with that, we've also figured out the most efficient way to make an incredibly enjoyable cup of strawberry matcha latte right before a packed day of work. Part of it is upgrading the gear: a good scale and a good small whisk goes a surprisingly long way! And the other part is sourcing a stronger matcha powder that perfectly balances the flavour of strawberry jam. The updated 2025 version also works great for hojicha! Enjoy.
ingredients
the 2025 iced matcha strawberry with oat
3.5g The Library matcha powder
¾ cup Minor Figures oat milk
1 tsp strawberry jam
2 ice cubes
the 2020 iced matcha with soy
1 teaspoon matcha (Matcha Ninja ♥️) powder
355ml soy milk
a couple of tbsps hot water
1-2 tbsp agave / honey / sweetener
3 ice cubes

the 2025 iced matcha strawberry with oat
Whisk matcha powder into cup and pour in the oat milk
Electric whisk until frothy. Let it rest for a few seconds and then do a second electric whisk to create smoother foam
Add strawberry jam and ice cubes 🧊🍵
the 2020 iced matcha with soy
Add matcha powder and small amount of warm water. Whisk till frothy
Add sweetener of choice to matcha mixture
Add ice and soy milk to cup. Top with matcha mixture 🧊🍵
